Announcements for the week!

The Tale of the Missing Uniform
It was late Friday evening... a little after 10:30 p.m., we had just finished cleaning the concessions stand and Coach Ainsworth had turned out the lights and locked the gates as the three of us departed. Gary and I had to stop by the band room and drop off the coolers. As we were leaving, we noticed a lone vehicle in the parking lot closest to the road. Sitting on top of that vehicle was a marching band members jacket along with the shako (hat). I couldn't believe my eyes! Is this how we treat our $400+ band uniforms? We just throw them on top of our cars while we run out to socialize with friends?! This uniform could have been stolen sometime before the "owner" returned and you would have been responsible for replacing it. But you got lucky...it's in my possession and whomever it belongs to, needs to stop by the office and claim it...and get it dry-cleaned before this Friday!

The ACA Band Coke Sale is underway! Each band member (6th grade thru High School, including Color Guard) should have received your order form. Each member is asked to sell 10 cases. If you have any questions regarding the Coke Sale, please email Judy Rittenour at pikeroad@charter.net or Elizabeth Staten at epoohstaten@aol.com.

Jazz Band performs at PTF Meeting
The Jazz Band did an awesome job performing at the PTF meeting! They played 5 songs and even our beloved director, Mr. Stough, picked up his trumpet and played along with the band on "Respect". The crowd loved it! See photos below...

ACA Band hosts reception for Trinity Band
This past Friday during 3rd quarter, the ACA Band hosted the Trinity Band for some refreshments and fellowship. Thanks to all who helped pull everything together---Brandon Patterson, our Band President, and the crew that helped clean-up and all who helped set-up, serve and clean-up. It was well received.

Thank You from Enterprise High School Band
Our Spring Concert was held in memory of Katie Strunk and donations were requested for the rebuilding of the Enterprise High School Band Room. A total of $1000 was sent in memory of Katie. A "thank you" was received which read:
Dear friends,
Thank you for your donation to the Enterprise High School Band. The road to recovery has been made easier by the kindness, caring and support of folks like you. Thank you for your goodness toward us. We are moving forward--looking ahead to better tomorrows. Rest assured your donation will be used wisely.
