The "AWARD-WINNING"
ACA MARCHING EAGLE BAND
2009

Friday Night
at Luverne!

From the Director: I am very pleased with our performance on Saturday, despite all of the nasty conditions, we continued to do push ourselves and do well. Be ready this week, as we have another competition this weekend in unfamiliar territory for this band program. With our students' focus, we can make this a good week. This is the fun part of the season, the learning and drudgery of the season has passed! One judge made a specific comment on his tape that" it is apparent that your band works very hard, and they know how to rehearse well".

Monday- We WILL play during 7th period, some musicality things we can address on the inside. NO AFTER SCHOOL REHEARSAL

Tuesday- Rehearsal until 5:45- we will be making some additions and changes to the show!!
Wednesday- Rehearsal until 5:00
Thursday- Rehearsal until 5:45
Friday- Game AWAY at Catholic. We will do our usual after school school segments until 4-there is a pep rally. This will make it easier for everyone to leave because traffic is calmed down. You will need to meet in HALVES at Catholic at 6. You will want to shoot a little earlier than 6 because the campus is not easy to get in and out of, especially with gameday traffic. STUDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ARRANGING TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM CATHOLIC!! (THE BRASS WILL WARM DOWN AFTER THE GAME FRIDAY NIGHT.)

The itinerary for Saturday-prepare yourself, it's a loooong day.

Pre -Band Camp Day 1

Almost perfect attendance and wonderful weather conditions helped Band Camp get off to a great start!! Mr. Morrison seemed pleased with the progress and encouraged the students to keep practicing hard, both at school and home.

VOLUNTEERS still needed to remain at the Band Room during lunch and supper breaks. If you can help please see a Booster officer or respond by e-mail (bandmom@knology.net).

The Band Booster YARD SALE is also off to a great start! We had two large donations today from people who are not even connected to the band!! Be sure to mention the sale to your family, friends and neighbors - people often have things to get rid of and love to donate to a good cause! Thanks to Andrew N., Emily, Bradley, Andrew R., Shirts and Randal for being part of the "moving crew"!
